1. Polignano a Mare, Monopoli – full-day 35 EUR/person
Together we’ll dive into the winding alleys of the old town with stunning sea views. You can even swim at Cala Monachile beach (also known as Lama Monachile), which is right below the historic center. Then we’ll move on to Monopoli, where we’ll continue admiring the local sights.
2. Alberobello – half-day 20 EUR/person
We’ll stroll through the picturesque town of trulli, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996. Trulli – white buildings with circular bases and conical roofs – can only be found here in Puglia. Even during the drive through the famous Valle d’Itria, you can admire plenty of them. If interested, we can stop for an aperitivo or refreshment.
3. Lecce – half-day 40 EUR/person
Lecce is the baroque pearl of the south. We’ll visit the four most beautiful churches in Lecce, including the cathedral, and also peek into the city’s deeper past at the ruins of the amphitheater.
4. Matera – full-day 70 EUR/person
Together we’ll explore both parts of the Sassi – the newer Barisano and the older Caveoso. We’ll see the cathedral and, if interested, grab a refreshment and soak up the atmosphere on the terrace of a bar with a view over the canyon that separates the Sassi from the opposite hills. This is where Mel Gibson filmed the crucifixion scene from *The Passion of the Christ*. Afterward, we’ll continue the tour of the older part of the Sassi. We’ll also visit a typical house that was still inhabited in the 1960s. You can further enjoy the atmosphere of Matera and its Sassi during free time.
5. Castro – full-day 60 EUR/person
I’ll take you on a boat trip from Castro along the coast to Santa Cesarea Terme (Castro Marina port, Blue Cave, Zinzulusa Cave, Porto Miggiano bay, Santa Cesarea Terme), and we can also enjoy swimming at Miggiana beach.
6. Gallipoli – full-day 60 EUR/person
In the afternoon, we’ll walk through the historic center of Gallipoli, located on a small peninsula surrounded by the sea. 7. Leuca – full-day 70 EUR/person
Let’s go see where the Adriatic Sea meets the Ionian Sea. Along the way, we’ll pass through inland towns where time has stood still – we can stop there too… In Leuca, we’ll visit the little church of Santa Maria di Leuca with a view of the lighthouse that once warned sailors of the rocky coast. On the way back, we’ll visit inland Galatina, where we’ll admire the Romanesque Basilica of Santa Caterina d’Alessandria with its beautiful frescoes full of angels. You absolutely shouldn’t miss this!
8. Cisternino, Locorotondo, Ceglie Messapica – half-day 15 EUR/person
We’ll visit small towns, the pearls of the trulli valley – Valle d’Itria. From the hilltops, they overlook the greenery of ancient olive trees and offer breathtaking views. If we set out in the afternoon, we can stop in the evening at romantic bars for an aperitivo or dinner.
9. Swimming in the Ionian Sea – full-day 35 EUR/person
Let’s head for a swimming experience on the other side of the Italian “heel” to one of Italy’s most beautiful beaches – Punta Prosciutto. This area is rightly called the “Maldives of Salento” for its fine white sand and shallow, unbelievably turquoise sea. The surroundings are still relatively untouched and protected by dunes with typical Mediterranean vegetation.
10. Ostuni – The White Queen 0 EUR/person
We’ll do an experiential evening trip to Ostuni, a picturesque white town on a hill with breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea and the greenery of ancient monumental olive trees.
